What is an LAN World?
An LAN World is a world that can be accessed when on the same internet. If you want to play with your friends on a minecraft world (you MUST be on the same internet), you can make your world accessible by making it LAN. Heres how:
1. Press esc (escape) on your keyboard OR pause the game
2. Click "Open to LAN"
3. A new window will pop up showing the possible changes for other players (gamemode and cheats).
     - By changing the gamemode, you can change the gamemode that players start off in when they join
     - By changing if the players are allowed to use cheats or not dictates whether they can use the slash commands (example: /time set day, /tp katnissali, /gamemode 0, etc...)
4. After changing the settings to you likings, click "Start LAN World". That will open your world to anybody on your internet.
5. For somebody else to join your LAN world, they MUST be on the SAME internet as you are
6. On the other computer, open minecraft and click "Multiplayer" on the home screen. Then, check if the LAN world is mentioned at the bottom of the page under "Scanning for games on your local network".
7. If you do not see the LAN world, try clicking "Refresh". If that does not work, then try quitting and re-opening minecraft. Go through steps 5 and 6 again.
